Lead teacher

Eyas Global Montessori in south Bellevue is seeking a full time Montessori Certified Teacher who is willing to work between the hours of 9:00am-4:30pm.  We are looking to fill this position now.

Requirements:

* Montessori certification complete (AMS preferred)

* STARS/MERIT registration/participation per state guidelines

* Clean background check and good references

* Current (within 12 months) and cleared TB test

* CPR & First Aid training, Blood-borne Pathogens & HIV training within first 60 days

* Food Handlers Card (optional)

* Ability to lift 25 pounds

 

Responsibilities:

* Collaborative team teacher

* Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing

* Support curriculum development

* Participate in record keeping; knowledge/willing to learn use of Transparent Classroom

* Contribute to the overall day-to-day class management

* Provide basic care and caregiving activities

* Use a wide range of teaching methods

* Become familiar with Positive Discipline

* Work to improve quality and consistency of care for all children;

* Meet the school’s quality assurance requirements, curriculum and activities;

* Observe children’s interactions and promote the spirit of concord

* Identify behavioral problems and determine the right course of action

* Some light cleaning involved

* Comply with all state and local regulations;
